| Fran Wohlfelder, born in Allentown, PA, arrived on Long Island, NY via Traphagen School of Fashion. After working as a commercial artist and fashion illustrator, she studied with the late Edgar Whitney and Charles Reid, both eminent watercolorists and watercolor became her passion. Wohlfelder received nationwide recognition through numerous solo group exhibitions. She exhibited 8 years with The American Watercolor Society, and she was chosen twice for its traveling exhibition that toured the U.S. Including: Frye Museum - Seattle, Washington Yellowstone Art Center - Billings, Montana Arnot Art Museum - Elmira, New York Tweed Museum of Art - Duluth, Minnesota. |
