Maurice Sinet dit Siné . Dessinateur et humoriste. Former student of the Ecole Estienne (Graduate School of Arts and Graphic arts) in Paris, Maurice Sinet developed a passion for drawing in discovering the work of Saul Steinberg (1914-1999), American illustrator of Romanian origin. He published his first drawing at the age of 24 in France Sunday and received the Grand Prix of black humor for his wordless book Lament (1955). His cartoons featuring cats do then known to the general public (pump cats, 1956 Scope of cats, 1957). He then joined the Express as a political cartoonist, but his contrarian positions and drawings, fierce vein in simplicity, cause multiple controversies and leaving the Weekly in 1962. The same year, he founded his own newspaper, Sine Massacre (1962-1963), then in 1968, with Jean-Jacques Pauvert, co-founded the Furious.
