| Juan Antonio Gonzalez was born in Cadiz in Andalusia. He was taught by Rodriguez in Cadiz, and by Pils in Paris. Gonzalez exhibited regularly in Paris, Madrid, and Cadiz, winning a 3rd-class medal at the Salon of 1876 for his Retour d'un baptême en Espagne. |
