| Célestin François Nanteuil, also called Nanteuil-Leboeuf, was a painter, lithographer, and etcher, associated with many of the authors of French Romanticism, such as Victor Hugo. Célestin Nanteuil was a pupil of Ingres at the Beaux-Arts, Paris. In 1948 Célestin Nanteuil became curator and director of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon, where there was a retrospective of his work in 1973, with a catalogue by M. Geiger.
